“...Stay home, sheltered from the bad weather, and call off all your adult responsibilities. And maybe also binge your favourite show (again)”

Personally, my favourite thing about fall, besides cozy sweaters and the colours of the leaves (and lattes!), is the smell of a hike in the forest after the rain (big hiking fan here — sure, I do nothing sporty the rest of the year, but fall is my time to shine). Okay, maybe the slightly lazy person in me wanted to perfectly recreate that smell so I don't have to go outside to sniff it on bad days. Oh! And what a great excuse to justify skipping class and/or work: sorry boss, it's a Grey's day today, not a day to almost die 8x on the slippery roads!

Top notes – White cedar, Dew
Heart notes - Geranium, Balsam fir

Little care & safety tips

How do I use a candle safely?

To make sure your experience is both enjoyable and safe, please carefully follow the instructions below whenever you use our candles (and candles in general, wherever they come from).

Before each use:

  • Always trim the wick to about 5 mm (1/4 in).
A wick that's too long makes the flame too big, creates excess smoke and can overheat the container.
  • Place the candle on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
Avoid unstable spots, fabrics (tablecloths, curtains) or drafty areas.

While in use:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Never move a lit candle or one whose wax is still hot.
  • Don't burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
This keeps the container from overheating and protects the burn quality.

Never do this:

  • Never let the candle burn all the way down.
Stop using it when about 1 cm (½ in) of wax is left.
This keeps direct heat from damaging or shattering the glass container.
  • Never add water, essential oils or any other substance to the melted wax.
  • Don't use it if the container is cracked or damaged.

Tips to make it last longer:

  • On the first burn, let the wax melt evenly across the whole surface.
This prevents tunnelling around the wick.
  • Put the lid back on once the wax has cooled to keep the scent fresh.
  • Gently wipe the rim of the container with a dry cloth to avoid soot buildup.
Candle ingredients

Handmade in Québec, our candles are made with plant-based soy wax. The wicks are natural fibre and lead-free. The candles are carefully formulated to make your home extra happy. YEAH 🤍

Candles' 2nd life

THE GOOD NEWS IS! Once your candle is finished, the jar is reusable, so you can give it a second life!

Personally, I use them as drinking glasses and for storing little odds and ends, but here's a more complete list of ideas just in case!

PSST! To remove wax residue, the boiling water and soap method is, in my opinion, the most effective!

My favourite little cozy ritual

How to use it

Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn. The first time, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar (2 to 3 h) to avoid tunnelling.

4 h max at a time, and put the lid back on once it's cooled to keep the scent.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long until I get my order?

All orders ship within 1 to 7 business days of the purchase date.

What happens if my package is returned to you?

If the carrier is unable to complete a delivery (wrong address, package not picked up, address not found, etc.), the package will be sent back to us after 5 days. Once it's back at the workshop, we'll contact you to re-ship the package (applicable shipping fees will be charged to you) or offer you a refund minus the return fees ($9.99).

Why does my candle look different after I light it?

That sometimes-weird look of the wax after burning is totally normal for soy candles! It doesn't affect your candle's performance or scent at all. It's a classic result of using soy wax!

What are the benefits of soy wax?

The soy wax used in our candles burns 30 to 50% slower than paraffin wax, giving you a candle that lasts way longer. Soy wax is also an eco-friendly option since it produces very little soot when burning and doesn't release any harmful toxins into the air.
